Affiliate Disclosure

Effective date: October 23, 2026 · Last updated: October 23, 2026

The short version

Right now, GigMoney Playbook is not part of any affiliate programs and has no affiliate links. In the future, we may earn money from some links on this site. If you click one of those links and then sign up for or buy something, we may get paid a commission. That won’t cost you anything extra. This page explains how that would work and what we promise you.

What is an affiliate link?

An affiliate link is a special tracking link. When you click it, the company (or an affiliate network working for them) can tell that you came from our site. If you then make a qualifying purchase or sign-up, that company pays us a fee or commission. The price you pay is the same as if you went to the company directly.

Who we may work with

We may earn commissions from partners such as tax software, expense-tracking, bookkeeping, and budgeting services, either directly or through affiliate networks. We will only join programs for products we think could be relevant to gig workers and side hustlers. If we join a program, we’ll disclose it in every post that contains one of its affiliate links.

How we will tell you

  • Any post with affiliate links will include a clear, plain-language disclosure near the top of the post, before the first affiliate link. For example: “We earn a commission if you sign up through some links in this post, at no cost to you.”
  • Where helpful, such as buttons or comparison tables further down a page, we will label links as “affiliate link.”
  • The same disclosures will apply to any emails, videos, or social media posts that include affiliate links.
  • Links to government and official sources, such as IRS.gov, are never affiliate links.

Our promise to you

  • Honesty first. We try to describe products accurately, including their downsides and who they may not be a good fit for.
  • No paid-for opinions. Companies cannot pay us to say something positive, and we don’t let commissions decide our recommendations or rankings.
  • No fake experience or reviews. We won’t claim to have personally used a product unless we actually have, and we won’t publish made-up testimonials or reviews. When we describe a product, we tell you what our information is based on, such as the company’s website, published pricing, or official documentation.
  • Free options too. When a free tool or approach (like IRS resources or a simple spreadsheet) works just as well, we’ll say so.

Ads

The Site does not show ads right now. We plan to add ads in the future, served by Google AdSense and possibly other ad networks. We won’t choose the individual ads you see, and an ad appearing on this site is not an endorsement. Learn more in our Privacy Policy.

Do your own homework

Prices, features, fees, and offers change often, and the right product depends on your situation. Always check the company’s own website for current terms before you sign up. Nothing on this site is tax, legal, or financial advice. See our Disclaimer.

Why we disclose this

We believe you deserve to know when we might benefit from a link. This disclosure is also part of following the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) Endorsement Guides, which require clear disclosure of material connections with the companies we mention.
