Effective date: October 23, 2026 · Last updated: October 23, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how GigMoney Playbook (“we,” “us,” or “our”), available at gigmoneyplaybook.com (the “Site”), collects, uses, and shares information when you visit or interact with the Site. The Site is owned and operated by Corey Perkins, an individual based in Ohio, United States. If you have questions, contact us at gigmoneyplay@gmail.com.
By using the Site, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us
- Emails you send us: The only way to contact us is by email. If you email us, we receive your name, email address, and whatever you include in your message. The Site does not have a contact form.
The Site does not currently have a newsletter or email list, and comments are turned off. If we add an email list or other features that collect information from you, we will update this policy before we start collecting that information.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, our web host, Hostinger, automatically receives and keeps standard server logs, such as your IP address, browser type, the date and time of your visit, and the page requested. These logs are used for security, troubleshooting, and keeping the Site running.
Calculators and tools
The Site does not currently offer calculators or other interactive tools. If we add them in the future, we will update this policy to explain how they handle the information you enter.
2. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cookies are small text files stored on your browser or device. Similar technologies include pixels, web beacons, local storage, and scripts (together, “cookies”).
At launch, the Site does not use advertising cookies or analytics cookies. The Site may use cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work, such as cookies WordPress sets for logged-in site administrators, or cookies used by our host for security and performance.
In the future, we plan to add analytics (Section 3) and advertising (Section 4), and we may add affiliate links (Section 5). These would use cookies to measure traffic, show and measure ads (including ads based on your interests), and track referrals and purchases made through affiliate links. Before we add advertising or analytics, we plan to add a Google-certified consent tool for visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, and we will update this policy to describe it.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. If you block cookies, some parts of the Site may not work as intended.
3. Analytics (Google Analytics 4)
Google Analytics is not installed on the Site at launch. We plan to add Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors find and use the Site. When we add it, Google Analytics will use cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as pages visited, session length, device and browser information, and approximate location. We will not use Google Analytics to collect information that directly identifies you, such as your name or email address.
When we add Google Analytics, we plan to keep Google signals and Google Analytics advertising features (such as remarketing and demographics and interests reports) turned off, and to set data retention to 14 months. If we change these settings, we will update this policy.
To learn more, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. You can opt out of Google Analytics on any site by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
4. Advertising
The Site does not show ads at launch. We plan to use Google AdSense to display ads in the future, and later we may work with other advertising partners, such as Mediavine. Before ads go live, we will update this policy. Once ads are added, Google and other third-party vendors and ad networks that serve ads through AdSense may use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to collect information about your visits to this and other websites in order to serve ads, including personalized (interest-based) ads, and to measure ad performance. Specifically, once ads are live:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, will use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this Site or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies will enable it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to this Site and/or other sites on the internet.
- For more about how Google uses data from sites that show its ads, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
How to opt out of personalized advertising
You can use these tools at any time, including on other websites that show personalized ads:
- Opt out of personalized advertising from Google by visiting Google Ads Settings (also available through My Ad Center).
- Learn more about how Google uses cookies in advertising on Google’s advertising technologies page.
- Opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising through the Digital Advertising Alliance at www.aboutads.info (opt-out tool: optout.aboutads.info).
- Opt out through the Network Advertising Initiative at thenai.org/how-to-opt-out.
- On mobile devices, you can use your device settings (such as “Limit Ad Tracking” or “Opt out of Ads Personalization”) to limit interest-based ads.
Opting out does not mean you will stop seeing ads; it means the ads you see may be less relevant to your interests. Opt-outs are often browser- and device-specific, so you may need to repeat them on each browser or device you use.
5. Affiliate Links and Tracking
At launch, we are not part of any affiliate programs. In the future, the Site may include affiliate links. If you click one and sign up for or buy a product or service, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We may earn commissions from partners such as tax, bookkeeping, and budgeting services, either directly or through affiliate networks.
When you click an affiliate link, the affiliate network or merchant may place cookies or use similar tracking technologies on your device to record that you came from our Site and whether a qualifying sign-up or purchase occurred. That information is collected and processed by those third parties under their own privacy policies. Affiliate programs generally give site owners only aggregated or non-identifying reports (for example, the number of clicks or sales), not your name or payment details. For more, see our Affiliate Disclosure.
6. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site and its content
- Read and respond to your emails and requests
- Protect the Site from spam, fraud, and abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
Once we add analytics, advertising, or affiliate links, we will also use information to analyze traffic and trends, display ads, and earn affiliate commissions that support the Site.
7. How We Share Information
We do not sell your name or email address to anyone. We share information only as follows:
- Service providers: Companies that help us run the Site, namely our web host (Hostinger) and our email provider (Google, through Gmail), which store information on our behalf.
- Future advertising, analytics, and affiliate partners: Once added, these partners may collect information directly through cookies and similar technologies on the Site, as described in Sections 3 through 5. Under some US state laws, allowing advertising partners to collect information this way may be considered a “sale” of personal information or “sharing” for targeted (cross-context behavioral) advertising. See Section 8 for your choices.
- Legal reasons: When required by law, or to protect our rights, the Site, or others.
- Business transfers: If the Site is sold or transferred, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
8. Your Privacy Choices and US State Privacy Rights
Several US states, including California, have comprehensive consumer privacy laws, such as the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, “CCPA”). These laws apply only to businesses that meet certain thresholds (for example, based on annual revenue or the number of consumers whose data is processed). GigMoney Playbook is a small, independently owned website and is below those thresholds. Ohio, where we are based, does not currently have a comprehensive consumer privacy law.
Even so, we want you to have simple choices. Regardless of where you live:
- Access and deletion: You can ask us what personal information we hold about you directly (such as your emails to us) and ask us to delete it. We will do so unless we need to keep it for a legal reason.
- Correction: You can ask us to correct inaccurate information we hold about you.
- Advertising and analytics choices: Once we add them, information collected through advertising and analytics cookies will be held by those partners, not by us, and we cannot look it up or delete it for you. To limit targeted advertising, use the opt-out tools in Section 4 and your browser’s cookie settings.
- No discrimination: We will not treat you differently for making a privacy request.
If a state privacy law applies to us in the future, we will update this policy to describe the rights available under that law and how to exercise them.
Categories of personal information
The Site may collect the following categories of personal information: identifiers (such as your name, email address, and IP address); internet or other electronic network activity (such as server log data); and, once analytics or advertising is added, cookie identifiers, browsing and interaction data, and approximate geolocation data. We collect this from you directly and automatically from your device, for the purposes described in Section 6, and share it with the categories of third parties described in Section 7. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, and we do not use it to infer characteristics about you.
How to make a request
- Email us at gigmoneyplay@gmail.com with the subject line “Privacy Request” and tell us what you would like us to do.
We may need to verify your identity before completing your request, for example by confirming control of the email address you used. We aim to respond within 45 days.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers can send “Do Not Track” (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. There is no common industry standard for DNT. The Site does not respond to DNT signals or GPC signals. Advertising and analytics partners we add in the future may have their own practices for these signals.
At launch, the Site does not use third-party advertising or analytics services that track your activity across websites. If you follow a link to another website, that website may collect information about you under its own policies. Once we add analytics, advertising, or affiliate links, third parties such as Google and other advertising and affiliate partners may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites, as described in Sections 3 through 5.
9. Children’s Privacy
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it. We also do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.
10. Data Retention
We keep emails from readers for up to 24 months, and then we delete them. Server logs are kept by our host under its own retention practices. When we add Google Analytics, its data will be kept for 14 months. Other third-party partners retain data under their own policies.
11. Data Security
We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no website, internet transmission, or storage system is completely secure. Please do not send sensitive information, such as Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or tax documents, by email.
12. Third-Party Links
The Site links to other websites, such as IRS.gov and, in the future, affiliate partners. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Please review their privacy policies before providing them with information.
13. Visitors Outside the United States
The Site is operated in the United States and intended for US audiences. If you visit from outside the US, your information will be processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you may have rights under your local law, such as the right to access, delete, or object to the processing of your personal information, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your local data protection authority. To make a request, email us at the address below.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example when we add analytics, advertising, affiliate partners, or new features. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will also post a notice on the Site.
